The company started in 1989 as the claims department of large, personal lines specialist broker Allen & Allen; our history clearly illustrates our affinity with the business of insurance broking.
In 1998 Robert Bignell was promoted to the Managing Director and a new, separate company formed, offering all of the services previously performed for Allen & Allen to other insurance brokers.
Initially handling circa 5,000 claims per year, this figure has steadily progressed to be well in excess of 30,000.
Our business has duly expanded to encompass a holding group of companies in alternative locations throughout the UK, employing in excess of 50 staff.
In April 06 the company was bought from Allen & Allen and under its current ownership is part of Crusader Group Holdings Ltd.
Whilst we still provide services for Allen & Allen the sale has presented the means to embark on further diversification, with the objective of building a robust enterprise, free to respond to market opportunities.
Formally known as both Crusader and Centurion, the decision has been taken to adopt Crusader Assistance for all of our claims management activities.
Throughout our growth period we have adopted the latest claims management software; created our own hire car fleet and developed an extensive panel of solicitors.
We’re providing our broker clients with the best possible claims service, whilst constantly looking for opportunities to develop our businesses together.
