Crusader Assistance has donated to UK based charity African Revival. The funds are being used to add to the Lubombo Community School in rural Zambia.

The donation has already paid for a new 3 classroom block, with 60 new desks. The funds have also been used to site and drill a much needed borehole to provide the school children with safe access to clean water. Once all of this work is complete, it is hoped that there will be monies left over to construct some latrines. Fluctuating exchange rates mean that the budget allows for some flexibility and Crusader Assistance is being kept updated as the project nears its conclusion.

John Cosgrove, Operations Director comments:

“We feel that it’s important to give something back; our connection to the charity’s founder has made us acutely aware of the desperate situation in parts of Africa and the plight of its people. We soon see our own problems pale into insignificance on learning that half of the population lives on less than US$1 a day.”

Crusader Assistance is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Lamptey as Case Management Developer responsible for support and development of Proclaim, our specialist case management software.

Well qualified for the role, Carl joins Crusader Assistance from Eclipse Legal; Proclaim’s original creators. Using the experience gained for the last three years at Eclipse, Carl is now concentrating on getting the most out of Proclaim for Crusader’s clients. Specifically he is working on streamlining the case management processes, adding additional automation wherever feasible and generally making the system as efficient as it possibly can be.

From Crusader’s point of view, having Carl on board means that the system can be easily modified to suit our own strategic objectives, together with the demands of the evolving business environment around us.

Carl comments:

“It’s great to be working with real clients and knowing that any system developments make a tangible difference to the business.

Being aware of both Proclaim’s full range of functions and its limitations should enable me to bring new ideas on how it could be used to improve services to our brokers and their clients.”
